Evidence shows us that strong leadership is key to implementing trauma-informed practice sustainably in order to improve outcomes for people. Our Scottish Trauma Informed Leaders Training (STILT) supports people in positions of leadership to navigate how they can implement trauma informed practices throughout their organisations.

STILT is an online and practice based learning programme that involves:

  1. Completing the “developing your trauma skilled practice” e-modules,
  2. Attending a 3 hour STILT webinar from the NTTP
  3. Individual and organisational reflection and evaluation in practice
  4. Action learning workshops and/or coaching support from your local Transforming Psychological Trauma Implementation Co-ordinator (TPTIC).

It is important that anyone who attends STILT has sufficient time and support for ongoing reflective practice and coaching.  This follow up support is currently provided through our local Transforming Psychological Trauma Implementation Co-ordinator (TPTIC) network. To find out who your local TPTIC is and/or to find out details of when the next available STILT sessions are running please email: Psychology@nes.scot.nhs.uk
