Pledge Signatories in Scotland
Signatories to this pledge agree to:
- Work with others to put trauma-informed and responsive practice in place across our workforce and services.
- Deliver services that wherever possible are actively informed by people with lived experience of trauma.
- Recognise the central importance of relationships that offer collaboration, choice, empowerment, safety and trust as part of a trauma-informed approach.
- Respond in ways that prevent further harm, and that reduce barriers so that people affected by trauma have equal access to the services they need, when they need it, to support their own journey of recovery.

Public Health Scotland
As Scotland’s national public health body, Public Health Scotland recognises that psychological trauma impacts poorer outcomes across a wide range of health areas, including higher rates of preventable disease. -
East Park
East Park support young people with autism and co-occurring conditions in residential care homes and in education. We are committed to keeping the Promise, and recognise that for our children to grow up loved, safe and respected in a way that nurtures their potential, they must be supported to recover from ACEs and Trauma. -

Since 2005, Curo Salus has been Creating Therapeutic Environments for Children. We sign this pledge in recognition of the importance of a trauma informed approach. -
Dumfries & Galloway ME and Fibromyalgia Network
We are adapting our Safeguarding Policy to include a section on Trauma-informed practice and we will be asking all of our staff and Board members to undertake the E-Module 1 ‘Developing your trauma skilled practice: Understanding the impact of trauma and responding in a trauma-informed way’. -

AdvoCard
AdvoCard are dedicated to developing a trauma-informed culture throughout our whole organisation. We ensure that our staff and volunteers receive ongoing training in trauma-informed support, enabling them to respond with empathy, reduce harm, and build trust with the people we support. -
